Cotton
Cotton is an annual crop native to India. It is planted in the spring and harvested between August and October. Cotton production is of great importance, especially for the textile industry.
Before processing, cotton contains seeds. Since only the fibers are used in textiles, the seeds are separated using special machines called gins.
Cotton Production Process and Harvest Season
Cotton is planted in spring and harvested after a growth period of 5 to 6 months.

Harvesting can traditionally be done by hand, but today it is commonly carried out using cotton harvesting machines.
Once harvested, the cotton fibers are separated from the seeds for use in the textile industry. This process is done using ginning machines, and the separated fibers are sent to factories to be spun into yarn.
Uses of Cotton
